# Time synchronization

If your computer's time differs from the exchange's, connection errors can occur.

## Automatic checks

The terminal automatically checks time for exchange communication. It does not change the Windows clock, so keep automatic system time enabled too.

## Signs of a problem

Errors may include **Timestamp mismatch**, **Invalid timestamp**, **Request timestamp expired**, or **Timestamp for this request is outside of the recvWindow**. Balance and order updates may stop, or the exchange connection may fail to enable.

## Check Windows settings

### Windows 11

Open **Settings → Time & language → Date & time**. Enable **Set time automatically**, enable automatic time zone or verify it manually, then click **Sync now**.

### Windows 10

Open **Settings → Time & language → Date & time**. Enable **Set time automatically**, check your time zone and click the clock synchronization button or **Sync now**.

Restart the affected connection afterwards. If the error remains, restart ISA Terminal and check the logs again.

## Logs

Look for repeated time or synchronization errors. Check internet and Windows time settings if they recur. See [Logs](/en/isa-terminal/baza-znanii/logirovanie-v-isa.md).

## If the problem remains

1. Check stable internet on the computer or VPS.
2. Check whether a firewall or internet provider blocks time requests.
3. Compare Windows time with [time.is](https://time.is/).
4. Save the relevant log excerpt.
5. Send an integrated [bug report](/en/isa-terminal/baza-znanii/kak-otpravit-bag-report.md).

Avoid changing date and time manually during active trading. First stop new actions and check bots and connections.
