# Strategies and bots

## The difference

A **strategy** defines trading rules and available settings. A **bot** is a configuration you create to apply a strategy to one trading pair through a specific connection.

Several bots can use the same strategy with different coins, timeframes and settings. A new bot stays stopped until you start it.

## Choose a strategy

You can [create your own strategy through MCP](/en/isa-terminal/own-strategies.md): describe your idea to the assistant and ask it to save the strategy in the terminal. It then appears in the shared list.

1. Open **Bots → Strategies**.
2. Select a strategy.
3. Click **Documentation** to read its description.
4. Click **Start launch** to open the bot creation form with that strategy selected.

Ready-made strategy descriptions are maintained separately and opened with **Documentation** on the strategy card. This documentation explains the terminal itself.

Your [AI-created strategies](/en/isa-terminal/own-strategies.md) appear in the same list. Availability when creating a bot depends on the selected connection's market.
