# Installation

ISA Terminal runs on a Windows computer or Windows VPS. Use your own computer to try the interface and tests, or a VPS for continuous operation. macOS and Linux are not supported.

Bots run on the device where the terminal is open. If it shuts down, goes to sleep or loses its connection, the terminal cannot manage trading.

## Before you start

* Register an iSpecAlgo account and confirm your email.
* Check that your account has active access days.
* Download the installer from your account on the official website.
* Use 64-bit Windows 10/11, a stable internet connection and administrator access for installation.

## System requirements

Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 32-bit systems are not supported. For comfortable operation, use an SSD and 8–16 GB of RAM. Disable sleep and check [time synchronization](/en/isa-terminal/baza-znanii/sinkhronizaciya-vremeni.md).

## Download and install

1. Sign in on the iSpecAlgo website. Open the available products in your account and download the ISA Terminal installer. Use the official source.
2. Right-click the downloaded file and choose **Run as administrator**. Confirm the Windows prompt with **Yes**.
3. Click **Next** in the installer. Accept the license if prompted, choose the installation folder or keep the default, and choose shortcuts.
4. Click **Install** and wait. Do not close the installer while it is working.
5. Click **Finish**. If the launch checkbox is selected, the terminal opens automatically.

You can also launch it from the desktop shortcut, Start menu or installation folder. Confirm an administrator prompt if one appears on the first launch.

## Sign in

Enter your iSpecAlgo account details, wait for the interface to load and check for errors. If access is unavailable, check your remaining access days in your website account.

## Install on a VPS

Use a Windows 10/11 or Windows Server VPS. Connect through Remote Desktop, download the official installer and follow the same installation and sign-in steps.

Keep the server online and awake. Check updates and logs regularly. Do not leave passwords or API keys in plain text on its desktop.

## Installation problems

### Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”

If you downloaded the installer from the official source, select **More info → Run anyway**. If you are unsure where the file came from, download it again from your account first.

### The installer does not start

Check that the download is complete, the file is not blocked and you are running it as administrator. Check antivirus quarantine and download the installer again if necessary.

### Permission error

Close the installer and run it as administrator.

### Antivirus blocks installation

Check quarantine. If required, add the installation folder or program executables to exclusions. Avoid disabling the whole antivirus unnecessarily. Restart the installer afterwards.

### Installed, but the terminal will not open

Restart Windows, try running as administrator, and check antivirus and internet access. If the problem remains, send [logs](/en/isa-terminal/baza-znanii/logirovanie-v-isa.md) to support.

### Cannot sign in

Check the login and password, email confirmation, access days and website availability. Check whether a firewall, antivirus or VPN is interfering with the connection. Reset your password on the website if needed.

## Updates

Use the terminal's version manager: [Updating ISA](/en/isa-terminal/kak-ustanovit-algoterminal-isa/kak-obnovit-isa.md).

## Uninstall

Stop your bots and close the terminal. Open **Windows Settings → Apps**, find **ISA Terminal / ISAApp**, select **Uninstall** and follow the prompts.

If you also want to remove all user data, contact support before deleting files manually: they may be needed for recovery.

## Common questions

**Can I use macOS or Linux?** No, use Windows. Windows 7/8 are also unsupported.

**Does the terminal need constant internet access?** Yes, for stable trading and exchange communication.

**Can I turn off my computer while bots are working?** No. Keep the terminal running or use a VPS.

**Are administrator rights required?** They are required for installation. Whether they are needed during use depends on file permissions.
