# Safe launch

Use this guide to avoid overly aggressive settings and committing too much of your deposit.

A trading bot does not guarantee profit. It follows the selected rules, but results depend on the market, settings, deposit and risk management.

## Main rule

Treat the first launch as a check: the terminal works, the connection is stable, the bot starts, orders are placed correctly, and you know where to find logs and the position.

## Start small

* Use a small initial order size.
* Do not start many bots at once.
* Avoid highly volatile coins until you have experience.
* Do not enable aggressive martingale settings.
* Check the number of averaging steps.
* Decide in advance where to place a stop or impose a manual risk limit.

## Avoid starting too many bots at once

Even small bots together can consume a large share of your deposit. Before a bulk start, calculate each bot's initial size, maximum averaging steps, possible drawdown and their combined volume.

## Check position allocation

Make sure bots do not compete for the same position. See [Position modes](/en/isa-terminal/birzhi-i-podklyucheniya/one-way-rezhim.md) for allocation rules.

Do not trade a running bot's position manually or through another program.

## Review settings after applying a preset

Saved parameters may not suit your market, coin or deposit. After loading them, go through the checklist below. See [Strategy presets](/en/isa-terminal/presety-strategii.md) for loading instructions.

## Before you press Start

* The connection is enabled and the balance is visible.
* Futures position mode is checked: One-Way or Hedge Mode.
* The strategy and ticker are correct.
* No other existing bot on the connection occupies this pair or side.
* There is no unrelated futures position or unrelated orders on the required position.
* The initial size is not too large.
* You understand the number of averaging steps.
* Stop-loss and take-profit settings are checked.

* You know what to do if a position is open.
